Wild Forest is on the lookout for a passionate and curious someone to join our creative team for a 3–6 month paid internship. The Design Intern will gain real-world experience, work side by side as a valued contributor and member of our creative team.

You

You're curious about art, design, and technology. More specifically, you can't stop thinking about design, illustration, typography, the web, and love the details of everything in between. You want to spend your time in a collaborative environment on active projects and learn from an experienced creative team.

Requirements

• You work well with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• You are interested in UX and inclusive design
• You can provide production support on small to large-scale projects
• You feel comfortable in a collaborative environment, and on your own
• You passionately dislike at least one designer for being better than you
• You want to explore your inner spirit animal
• You are organized, reliable, and responsible
• You have at least one side project going at all times
• You care about doing great work

Bonuspoints

• You have experience with prototyping tools and design applications like InVision, Adobe XD, Muse or Sketch
• Animation, motion graphics, and timeline editing knowledge in software such as either After Effects, Cinema 4D, or Premiere

What

In addition to the mentorship you will receive from members of our team, you'll be provided with opportunities to gain real industry experience working on a wide range of active projects for clients. Your responsibilities will evolve as you progress in your skill sets.

You will gain an understanding of design and artistic standards relevant to the projects at hand, together with production processes in use by the creative team, from research onto concept delivery.

The work you'll be asked to do won't go unnoticed. We're firm believers in paying interns as we too were once where you are today. As a bonus, you'll get to attend and participate behind the scenes in one of Canada's best creative technology, art and design festivals: CAMP.
