Description
FKA is seeking a full-time writer to contribute to and support a growing creative and communications team. The ideal candidate has 5 years+ of experience working as a writer, either within an agency environment or in other public or private sector roles. The successful candidate should have an innate curiosity for our clients’ businesses, a passion for concise, compelling storytelling and an extreme eye for detail.
This person will be responsible for not only developing long- and short-form copy, but they will support the rest of the creative and communications teams in proofing work, providing input on key messaging and helping to elevate the quality of our work overall. Their time will be split between the communications and creative departments, producing materials such as reports, new business proposals, advertising copy, social media posts and other writing-based assignments as required. This position features significant potential for career development and growth.
Candidates should possess:
- Proven record of excellent writing demonstrated in a professional portfolio
- Strong grasp of the English language, including the flexibility to write from different voices and perspectives, depending on the client or the task. This should include knowledge and ability using CP style.
- Incredible interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with clients, colleagues, and Directors
- Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives and timelines simultaneously
- Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary
- Proficiency with the Google suite of applications is preferred (i.e., Google Docs, Slides etc)
As part of our search process, you may be asked to complete a writing sample based on an assigned task.
