Edmonton Screen Industries Office

The Edmonton Screen Industries Office is a non-profit that was incorporated in 2017 to cultivate, activate, and strengthen the screen industries sector in the Edmonton Metropolitan region. The ESIO supports the development, growth, and sustainability of enterprises, entrepreneurs, professionals and talent in the Edmonton Metro region through a number of programs and services. Grants, professional development, networking opportunities, events, and the Edmonton Screen Media Fund are all coordinated through the Edmonton Screen Industries Office.

While the screen industries have traditionally been only associated with film and television in Alberta, the ESIO supports the film and television sector as well as the interactive digital media sector, convergent media like VFX and animation, as well as XR/AR/VR. The Edmonton Screen Industries Office acts as the film commission for Edmonton and maintains the locations library for the region with the support of the Government of Alberta.
